:: i snowshoe ::

these cold winter days.
i like to bundle up.

the air is brisk and oh-so-fresh.

there's nothing quite like...

standing in the middle of snowy woods,
all sounds muffled by the fluffy snow piled high.
watching snowflakes fall all around us...

just me and my very best friend.

tromping through the woods together.

leaving love notes on our favorite trail.

it's so good for your soul. do yourself a favor.
grab someone you love...

You are a soul.

catching up: o sugar, sugar.

[i know it's practically valentines day, but i'm still catching up on my december photos. at least i had our christmas tree down the 1st week in jan...]
an essential part of christmasing: sugar cookies.
all my favorite cookie cutters are out...

the boys are sitting by the fire...

the girls are in the kitchen...

some only working when the camera comes out...

some look like they just got caught....

some working hard...or hardly working?

o sugar, sugar...

it's a sickness people. no matter how much my brain says just throw the sprinkles on there, the cookie will be devoured in a matter of seconds. my hands say no can do. the toothpick comes out. the sprinkles are placed with care and precision [just like meema]. and 2 1/2 hours later i have 3 dozen cookies ready to be devoured...

more knitting.

more garlands. [my latest obsession]

more outdoors.

more reading.

more thrifting.

more love notes.

catching up: o christmas tree.

it was a perfect winter day. fluffy snow was piled high.
i put on my pink puffy coat & we were off to find our tree.

a couple little munchkins showed up. i gave them lots of kisses.

some wonderful friends showed up also.
we helped each other find the perfect tree.
and laughed lots [we watched a couple try to shove a tree in their car].

i had a good looking lumberjack help me.

the best part of the day...

was the handsome fella who held my hand as we wandered through the trees.
